    CMB or Carl Moritz Breitung was founded in DDR (Eastern Germany) in 1900. Business was taken over by Erich Steiner, his son-in-law, in 1927. His grandson Gunter Steiner carried on the business from 1955. Business Nationalized in 1972 and name became VEB Pluti. Upon reunification in 1990 name became Pluti Nova.
