BMW Airhead Transmission, 5-Speed Gearbox. Fully Serviced and Tested

Description

This is a used BMW airhead transmission built in 1978/1979. It has been completely checked over, with the bearings washed free of oil and checked for tightness and smooth function.  New seals throughout. Gear clusters were measured and shimmed for correct endplay.  It was installed in my Slash Five where it was run for 250 miles - no problems noted (see picture). The plastic shifting roller has been replaced with a bearing for improved shifting.  The output shaft has a circlip.  If you have a worn/damaged five-speed transmission, I’ll give you 0.00 trade on it.  This will fit in any airhead from 1970 to 1980 (with a bit of rewiring if it’s a Slash Five bike).
